Dr. Lemco’s Creative Club
Run by Tyler Lemco, Dr. Lemco’s Creative Club is a great space for groups that want to make art together without the pressure of being “good” at art. Ceramic Café-Studio
This is the OG ceramic café in Montreal. Ceramic Cafe Studio opened in 1997 on St-Denis and became a recognizable Plateau group-hangout spot. You pick a ceramic object, choose your paints and colours, sit for a few hours painting, eat and drink while hanging out, leave the piece to be glazed and fired, and come back later to pick it up. The atmosphere is relaxed, social, artsy, and beginner-friendly.
Arcade & Bar Nights
If you’re into arcades and pinball machines, check out North Star Machines à Piastres or Apt. 200. This is probably the most “Montreal indie fun” arcade-bar vibe: old-school arcade machines, pinball, a casual bar atmosphere, and low-pressure social energy. It’s great for friend groups, dates, and post-show hangs.
